The Administration Section represents those who provide leadership for public health operations on a daily, short-term or long-term basis. They also oversee the research, study, development and implementation of policy. Public health administrators are responsible for the timely and effective communication of cutting-edge, science-based health information, while addressing population health concerns and the prevention, preparation for and management of crisis situations. Domain A of the national accreditation standards enumerates many of these roles and responsibilities, along with involvement in all others specified in Domain B.
